4/25: Volunteers needed!Hello all, Mountaineers webmaster here-
We're having a Grand Opening for the new building on Saturday, April 25, and this is part of a larger event in Seattle's Magnuson Park. We're going to need a lot of help on this day, and we're hoping some of you are willing to step up. Here's the details from Gail, volunteer coordinator for Magnuson Park's SpringFest event:
Magnuson Park SpringFest: Volunteers Needed!
Saturday, April 25th the City of Seattle, in collaboration with non-profit organizations located within Magnuson Park, will be hosting a free day of activities and events throughout the park. Activities include free rock climbing at the new outdoor wall, cycling, garden demonstrations, and more! Organizations including the Mountaineers, Cascade Cycle, YMCA, Arena Sports, Sail Sandpoint, Outdoors for All, Seattle Musical Theatre, and many others will be there to show the public everything that Magnuson has to offer.
Details: Approximately 60 volunteers are needed throughout the day to help as greeters, information booth event staffers and parking attendants. Theres plenty to do, so please invite friends and family to volunteer along with you (Minimum volunteer age: 15 years old). Volunteer shifts are scheduled to be 2.5 hours, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the park activities before or after your shift!
Shift 1: 9:00am 11:30am
Shift 2: 11:00am 1:30pm
Shift 3: 12:30pm 3:00pm
Shift 4: 2:30pm 5:00pm

Note: To ease congestion and help keep the park roads safe for children and families visiting that day, all event attendees and volunteers are encouraged to use alternative transportation, like buses, bikes, and feet, to get to the park!
