Seattle Sleeping Bag DriveSeattle Sleeping Bag Drive
Now through March 31, 2009

Your old sleeping bag could help a person survive the night on Seattle’s streets. At Tent City in the University District, 100 men and women sleep in donated tents. Many do not have sleeping bags, and wake up in the morning with frost and ice on their clothing and their donated blankets. Can you help?

All Mountaineers are asked to donate any old or surplus sleeping bags in decent condition. Donations may be dropped off at our building: 7700 Sand Point Way NE, preferably during business hours (M-F 9-5). If you need to come by outside of these hours, please call Richard at 206-521-6010 to make arrangements.

For those outside of Seattle who have extra sleeping bags or tents, please contact your local homeless shelter or charitable organization to see if they can help get these items to those in need.
