4/26: Olympic Coast Cleanup - Register Now!Olympic Coast Cleanup - Register Now!
We invite you to join hundreds of volunteers for the annual Washington Coast Cleanup to be held on April 26, 2008. The purpose of this ever-growing community event is to remove marine debris from Washington's beautiful and ecologically sensitive coastline.
Plastic water bottles, fishing nets, tires, and all kinds of other items
harmful to the environment wash up on Washington's beaches all year
and need to be removed before they cause irreparable damage to countless marine mammals, fish, plants, and birds. Last year, over 800 volunteers removed more than 25 tons of debris!
Signup now for this year's event on our brand new website: www.WashingtonCoastCleanup.org
For general questions about the overall event, please email our program coordinator David Lindau at firstname.lastname@example.org or call him at (206) 220-4279. The Olympic Coast Cleanup annual event is now part of a year-round endeavor called Coast Savers. To find out more about this organization, visit their website at www.coastsavers.org.
