3/15-16: E-Recycle your old electronics!E-Recycle your old electronics!
March 15-16, 2008
Seattle Pacific University, Seattle
3rd Ave West and West Bertona

Do you have old or broken electronic items that you need to get rid of? A local group wants to take the hassle (and cost) out of the equation for you, and at the same time raise money for homeless shelters in the Seattle area.

E-Waste is defined as anything electronic that gets thrown away (computers, monitors, TV’s, cell phones, printers, pagers). Proper disposal of these items is a huge issue in the world, and especially in the U.S. Also, many items that can be reused or refurbished are sent straight to the waste pile.

The local group, RENEW, will collect your old electronics on Saturday and Sunday, March 15-16 in the parking lot at Seattle Pacific University and transport it to a company that refurbishes old electronics or, where possible, cleanly extricates the reusable materials.

An extra bonus is that anything you drop off during this recycling event counts as a donation. So the more you drop off, the bigger a write-off you can claim on next year's taxes.
