Washington State's Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is looking for a slew of volunteers to help evaluate grant proposals for new parks, trails, boating facilities and habitat conservation projects.
The volunteers will evaluate and rank recreation and conservation proposals and make funding recommendations to the state Recreation and Conservation Funding Board for new facilities and land purchases statewide.
Most applications are due on March 25, with the exception of the Parks, Trails and Habitat Conservation volunteers, who have a deadline of April 30. Most volunteer positions only meet 4 to 6 times a year, and it's a great opportunity to help guide the future of the outdoors in Washington.
