Mountaineers author/photographer Alan Bauer will be presenting a slideshow of his recent work on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. Bauer's photographs can be seen in two of Mountaineers Books most recent hiking guides, Day Hiking: Snoqualmie Region and Day Hiking: South Cascades, and he is working on the next title in the series, Day Hiking: Mt. Rainier. With help from Bauer's camera, these guides are redefining the genre. He is also co-author of Dest Desert Hikes: Washington and Best Dog Hikes: Inland Northwest, both from Mountaineers Books.

Bauer's presentation will focus on images from his most current work with Mountaineers Books. He will also discuss the unique challenges that he faces when shooting images for these publications. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the talk.
