Steve Giesecke has been a Mountaineer for seven years. A graduate of the Basic Climbing Course, he is currently a fifth year Intermediate Climbing Course student.

After climbing locally for a few years (he previously climbed Denali), Steve decided to "push up" his level of mountaineering and test himself by climbing Aconcagua and then, if that was successful, to travel directly to Nepal to attempt Everest. Steve's presentation will be about the once-in-a-lifetime adventures he experienced climbing the highest mountain in the world in 2007.

This program is presented as part of Tacoma's Third Friday Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting starts at 7 p.m., and all are welcome.
