Oct. 28: Benefit for Friends of Heybrook RidgeWebmaster: The following invitation came to me here at the office, and it sounds like a fun event to help preserve a beautiful area off Highway 2. I thought I'd share it with you all.

Greetings from Friends of Heybrook Ridge!

We would like to invite all Mountaineers to our first major fundraiser, The Heybrook Hoedown, being held at Floral Hall in Forest Park, Everett this Sunday the 28th of October from 1-7pm.

Come out dressed in your best costume and listen to great music while participating in a silent auction and hourly raffle drawings. Our auction features handmade furniture, paintings, quilts, outdoor gear, dinners, gift baskets, and so much more. All benefits will go towards the purchase of Heybrook Ridge in Index, WA for the creation of public hiking trails and educational programs on conservation ecology.

Treat your ears to the lively sounds of four bluegrass and funky jazz bands in addition to the melodic tunes of Native American flutist, Peter Ali. Feast upon a catered meal of lentil soup, garlic herb bread, chai tea, homemade desserts, and more.

For more information or to purchase tickets, visit our website at www.heybrookridge.org. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.

We hope to see you there!!
