Cold Facts about a Warm Planet

Four Mountaineers recently joined a KIRO-TV production team on Mt. Baker to discuss their personal observations of climate change as mountaineers and backcountry skiers. On Wed., Sept. 19, KIRO will televise the news feature, titled "Cold Facts About a Warm Planet."
The broadcast, to begin at 9 p.m., is a one-hour documentary that includes interviews with scientists and other climate experts. Producer Ben Saboonchian said the documentary presents various perspectives on the issue of climate change. The four Mountaineers, John and Irene Meulemans, Gary Rose and Lowell Skoog, represent current and past backcountry ski enthusiasts. They joined the KIRO film crew on Baker on May 15 of this year.
