Sept. 21: Wheat, Wine and Wild SalmonWheat, Wine and Wild Salmon
Featuring former Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbit
Friday, September 21, 2007 - 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Hosted by Save our Wild Salmon
The Mountaineers Building, Summit Room

Wheat, wine, and wild salmon are hallmarks of Washington State’s character, economy, and culinary traditions.

While the Snake River basin holds some of the best salmon habitat in the Pacific Northwest, its salmon and steelhead runs face certain extinction without regional leadership and a new approach to recovery.

Join former Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt as he kicks off our Wheat, Wine & Wild Salmon Fall 2007 Event Series with a reception featuring Washington wheat, wine & wild salmon prepared by some of our finest local chefs.

In the company of fishermen, farmers, chefs and restaurateurs, Secretary Babbitt will lead a discussion about effective solutions to create a secure future for the communities, industries, and people who bring these Northwest foods to our table.

Cost: $12 suggested donation.
