This trail starts out from where the Mountain Loop Highway is closed at Deer Creek. We'll meet up at a convenient location to consolidate carpools (possibly the Lake Stevens Transit Center).

Pace is listed as Moderate, but I'm not planning to push it hard. Let's enjoy the day, stopping to take pictures and take in the surroundings as we feel compelled to.

Please note that while the route appears to be straightforward, I have not been to this destination previously. If that gives you cause for concern, you might consider a different trip.

Snowshoe Equipment List Please be fully-prepared for snow travel with all the usual gear including your Ten Essentials. This is a Moderate trip, so an ice axe is required equipment.
