TRIP
Seattle Snowshoeing

Lawrence Landauer

7:00 AM

Mt Tahoma Ski Trails Association has groomed ski trails that are open and easy to access to Snowshoers. You will need a Sno Park Pass to park at the TH which are on either side of Rte 706. Check at their office at Ashford for information. This is one of the few hut systems in the state.
High hut is the intended destination if there is any chance we can see Rainier. Fair warning: EXPECT UP TO 1760 FEET OF ELEVATION GAIN if we have to park in the lower sno park. The exact distance and elevation gain will depend on which parking lot we can drive to. Meeting place will be in Renton. If you sign up on the wait list, please cancel if you make other plans so others on the wait list can go and are not waiting for you if I get late cancellations and you can go after all.

The MTTA maintains these huts based on volunteers and donations. If you are financially able, please consider a tax-deductible donation to help this organization. For more info, visit http://skimtta.com.

As with all winter trips, weather/road/avalanche conditions may cause the trip to be cancelled, the trip to go to an alternate destination, or we may turn around earlier than expected.
