Join world-renown big wall rock climber, soloist, and explorer Mike Libecki for a journey to some of the
most remote corners of the climbing world. He has had the opportunity to go on 40+ expeditions around the world and will be sharing some of his favorite places like like Afghanistan, Antarctica, Yemen, Venezuela, Greenland, China, Baffin Island and more.
Join him for big wall adventure climbing in every weather condition imaginable, where the outcome is always uncertain and rescue impossible. Along the way, meet amazing cultures, polar bears, deadly scorpions and tick-bugs stuck to the worst imaginable places on the body.
Come be inspired by Libecki as he tells climbing tales from some of the most stunning places on Earth, in the hope of inspiring us to not ration passion.
The show is FREE and is designed to motivate, inspire, and educate! "The time is now...What are you waiting for? No excuses. Dream big...And climb those dreams. After all, it is not only life, but the quality of this life. Death and/or old age is coming...We must live sweet. Why ration passion?" - Libecki..... Mike lives near the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah with his daughter, dog, cats, pot-belly pig and rabbits.
Mike has received numerous grants and awards: two time winner of the Shipton-Tilman Grant/Award from W.L.Gore & Associates, a three time winner of the Mug Stumps Award, two time winner of the Lyman Spitzer/American Alpine Club Award, The Polartec Challenge Award, Athlete Ambassador of the Year Award from Clif Bar, The Sharp End Award from The Access Fund, Mountaineering Fellowship Award from The American Alpine Club, The Banff Centre Mountain Grant, The Helly Hansen Mountain Award from The American Alpine Club, two time winner of the Father of the Year Award at his daughters school.
