Travel forested valley of Copper Creek, with side trip options to explore Tull mining camp ruins and Tubal Cain Mine, to expansive mountain views and wildflower meadows from shoulder of Buckhorn Peak to Marmot Pass. Camps along Copper Creek near Tubal Cain Mine, Buckhorn Lake, and Camp Mystery just beyond Marmot Pass.
If the weather is poor the trip will be cancelled. The route is strenuous, so participants should be experienced backpackers, able to pack light and travel at a steady pace with few rest stops.
