Oregon’s Wallowa Mountains are known as “Little Switzerland”. The Wallowa Mountains’ intercontinental snowpack, in excess of 400 inches per winter, provides wide open bowls, old growth tree glades, and classic couloirs. Ringed by peaks almost 10,000 feet high, the ski terrain boasts abundant north-facing powder slopes ensuring fresh tracks well after a storm, plus non-technical summits. The newest camp, Norway camp, is located on the southwestern edge of the Eagle Cap Wilderness at 7,000 feet. The camp has a 20-foot diameter double-decker yurt. Downstairs is a complete kitchen and dining area. Upstairs is a sleeping loft with mattress pads, large sleeping bags, and fresh liners. The toilet is outside. After a great day of skiing, a wood-fired sauna soothes your tired muscles. We will self-guide and self-cater for five days of cold dry powder snow exclusively all to ourselves.
