Field Trip 3 - Bean Creek Basin

N Fork Teanaway River Road, 1/4 mi past Beverly Campground

We'll hike at a moderate pace and stop frequently to identify flowers, shrubs, and birds. The trail follows Bean Creek through open and forested areas, steadily gaining 2000'. The destination is a flower and grass filled basin.

This trip requires crossing Bean Creek, which can be dicey early in the season. Poles are recommended.

We will check out the creek crossing the weekend before this field trip. If it seems difficult, we'll change the destination to something similar.

Change in carpooling: If you'd like to carpool, meet at 6:45 am at the Tibbetts Lot Park & Ride in Issaquah. It is at 1675 Newport Way NW which is the SE corner of SR 900 and Newport Way NW.
