Meeting time and place TBD

Kodak Peak and Johnson Mountain are two former fire lookout sites right near the PCT south of Glacier Peak. Kodak earned its name from the amount of Kodak film products used at this location. This three-day itinerary is designed to reach camps both of the first two mornings and do side trips to the peaks. Finally day three is a long trek out along Cady Ridge. Some trails are "other" trails, that may be less maintained. There are alternatives if any of these become problematic. On day one the plan is to pack in from the Little Wenatchee Ford trailhead on trail 1525 to Meander Meadows and make camp. This portion is 6 miles and 1900' elevation gain. In the afternoon, hike up to Kodak Peak (6121'). This will be about 4 miles RT and 1100' elevation gain. Day two involves moving camp to Blue Lake. The pack will be 4.5 mi with a total elevation gain of about 1300'. This may turn out to be the most adventurous portion of the trip. If it becomes too much there is an alternative camp at Little Blue Lake. From Blue Lake, the side trip up Johnson Mtn is 3 miles RT and 1100' elevation gain. Finally, pack out down the Cady Ridge trail #1532. It will be 650' elevation gain in the morning and then it is a long ridge run until the last 3.5 mi when we lose 2200' of elevation. Total mileage on day 3 is 10 miles. NW Forest Pass required.
