Marblemount Ranger Station

Hike ~3 miles up abandoned Middle Fork Cascade River Road (from where it branches from Cascade Pass Road at ~1600') and Middle Fork Cascade River Trail to ~3100' (just past stream) see map Ascend through timber and a burnt/brushy area at ~4000 to campsite at ~6200', see map Quoting from Beckey's Cascade Alpine Guide, Vol. 3: "From camp, gain the ridge/arete. It is easiest to keep on the W side of the crest (class 3). At 7000' the original party climbed 2 pitches to E of the crest along an out sloping ledge, to reach a notch N of a large gendarme (keep right of the latter). Cross to the W through the notch and scramble to the summit ridge (join upper part of the East Route)." Here's a picture of the route in profile taken from Hidden Lake Peak.

Due to exploratory nature only for extremely fit and experienced attendees. Approximate route map can be seen here, and photos of route can be seen here.
