We'll start with the short hike to Marymere Falls and then head up the Mt. Storm King trail. This is a nicely maintained trail under old growth canopy that ascends steeply as it works it's way above Barns Creek Valley and Crescent Lake. Several good look-outs along the way. Roundtrip 3.8 miles, Elevation Gain 1700 ft, highest point 2400 ft
The weather forecast says there is a 30% chance of rain but unlikely there will be snow. Bring micro spikes or yak tracks just in case. Hiking poles will be helpful as well, and of course sturdy hiking boots, the 10 essentials, and no cotton clothing.
