6:00 PM

Taylor's Landing - SCVSAR HQ, Snohomish WA

Practical review session for Wilderness First Aid or Alpine First Aid. Responders will run through several accident simulations requiring the application of their first aid skills, as well as group dynamics and resource management. Responders should dress for outdoor weather conditions and bring the pack/gear they typically carry during their wilderness activities. The session begins at 6pm and concludes at 9:30pm. The session will be held at Taylor's Landing, the Snohomish County Search and Rescue facility. Participants must complete a WFA certification before taking this session.

This is the second part of the AFA Wilderness First Aid course. You must complete the RMI Wilderness First Aid portion of the course before attending this practice scenario session. Although you should choose a scenario session that occurs AFTER your RMI WFA weekend, you do not need to wait until you've completed the WFA portion to register for a scenario session as sessions often fill quickly.
