Leaving the parking lot, and heading up towards the rope tow head, stay the ridgeline out Mt Angeles to a hump in the route that has one last descent until you are slogging up towards the base of Mt Angeles. This trip stays the ridgeline and skirts countless cornices and then descends a sometimes 50 degree slopes with 300 foot hill overlooked by cornices. followed by a gradual ascent overlooking a route to the Mt Angeles base. Leader may require transceivers, shovels, and probes. Step kicking and Ice Axe skills required. This route threads treelines and ridgelines to optimize use of minimum snow depth caused by ridgeline wind scrubbing. Route requires a "sit down" situation when a white out occurs.
