SK-2, 7NM paddle of Burley Lagoon. I’m expecting to find birds. Launch point is Wauna, near Purdy. Once we get into the lagoon, the route is protected.

Bring lunch to eat in the lagoon; I’ll bring hot soup to share with everyone as well. Tom Carroll lives on Burley Lagoon, will be paddling with us, and has graciously offered his beach, picnic table, and barbeque pit for us to use for lunch, so you can also bring something to grill.

Meet at 9:30am at Wauna. Directions to launch: From Tacoma: from the Narrows bridge take Purdy/Key Center exit. Take a left onto 302 and cross the Purdy bridge and spit. Parking lot is on your right just after spit.

From Bremerton: take Hwy 16 to Purdy/Key Center exit. Take a right at second light, cross spit. Parking lot is on your right just after spit.
