Meet at the Travelers’ Rest building, just east of the gas station and Pancake House at Snoqualmie Pass.  We will then proceed to the Hyak Glacier (Summit East area) for the day. Bring all equipment and clothing appropriate for a glacier climb (see Student Handbook).  Specifically, you will want: Harness with hero loops and prusiks, chest harness, helmet, ice axe, slings, regular and locking ‘biners, pulley, gaiters, layers of warm clothing, rain pants and parka, belay gloves, warm gloves (more than one pair- they will get wet), glacier glasses, foam sit pad if you have one, water and food for the day, and ten essentials (of course!).
