We will launch from Freshwater Bay at 9:30 am and plan to return there by about 3:30 pm. This is a spectacular trip will coastal conditions, some easy rock features to play in and the potential for surfing at Crescent Beach. Depending on the swell and the wind, the sea state could increase over the course of the day. Therefore, some coastal kayaking experience is strongly suggested for the trip. If you have questions, feel free to call Melinda at 206-669-7598 to discuss. The trip takes place in the Strait of Juan de Fuca so immersion gear is necessary. Due to the rocks and the relatively open coast, helmets are mandatory. Freshwater Bay is a lovely coastal spot with plenty of birds, invertebrates and other wildlife. The pace will be modest so that we can take it all in.
