Are you a graduate of the Introduction to Cross Country (XC) skiing class and want to learn more? Or are you an experienced Nordic skier who hasn’t taken a lesson in a while and want to brush up on your technique?
Then sign up for Intermediate Cross Country Skiing and learn to ski confidently with grace and style on more challenging terrain. The class consists of three cross country ski lessons taught by PSIA instructors on groomed trails and focuses refining basics: balance, glide, timing, rhythm, and power.
Note: This class may be taken concurrently with the Hills, Hills, Hills class, which focuses exclusively on hill technique.
Completion of the intermediate XC ski class provides the skill and confidence for skiing intermediate level and beyond groomed ski trails as well as the core basics for venturing off trail.
Multiple sections are offered on three consecutive weekend days. Select a section with the most convenient time.
Classes are taught on groomed trails at sno-parks in the Snoqualmie Pass/I-90 corridor. A sno-park permit with groomed endorsement is required for each parked vehicle. For more information, go to: http://www.parks.wa.gov/winter
Participants supply their own ski gear. Options including gear purchase at retail shops or ski swaps, or rental at various rental locations.
