Hinman is rather broad peak neighbored with Daniel, La Bohn Peak and Bears Breast Mountain in the heart of the Alpine Lakes. We'll be taking the Necklace Valley route from Skykomish (hwy rte 2) to either Opal Lake(8 miles and 3200ft gain) or La Bohn Lakes depending on our pace and area conditions. Over night scramble experience is not a requirement for this trip, but expect that your pack will be a bit heavier than your normal day pack weight. You will need crampons for this trip. Be sure to pack ice ax, helmet, and insect repellant as well.
