Join us for our Speaker/Social meeting featuring Sarah Krueger from the Backcountry Impact Series: "From Baja to British Columbia: Strategies for Low Impact Kayaking". Learn how good decisions on the water can lighten the recreational impacts on sensitive shorelines and avoid disrupting marine mammals and shorebirds. They will cover low-impact recreation skills and considerations that are unique to paddling in three different environments: Washington's saltwater and freshwater shoreline, Baja and coastal British Columbia. Using science-based research about recommended best practices, they will give us the tools to help us make responsible decisions while paddling and camping.
