Want to see an alpine lake and breathtaking views of major cascade peaks all in one hike? Join me for a hike up to Mt. Defiance in the Snoqualmie Pass region!

We will be hiking up the Ira Spring Trail past the beautiful Mason Lake to the top of Mount Defiance. At the top on a clear day you can see Glacier Peak and Mt. Baker to the North. To the south you will see Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams. On a really clear day you might even be able to make out Mt. Hood in Oregon. On the way back down there may be lake swimming if there are willing participants and weather permits.

This will be a mentored hike to meet my requirement for becoming a hike leader. Louise Kornreich is the mentor and she is wonderful and has lots of experience. She wants to make sure you guys give me a hard time :) I hope you join us for this wonderful hike!
