Distance is 16/18 miles. PCT mileage is 7.7 miles. GT 207 GT208

Because the logistics for hike C-1 are pretty lengthy if done solo, it is suggested that you partner this hike with Hike C-1 as part of a Meany Lodge Hike weekend (or car camping). These back to back hikes would incorporate a lot of mileage in two days and might be a “Graduation” type weekend at the end of September (begin of October) prior to the wet season. It is suggested that Hike C-2 be done on Saturday, with Hike C-1 being done on Sunday. This way the vehicles take to the start of the hike on Saturday at the Mineral Creek TH could remain there. Then, when the hike is finished at the end of the day on Saturday, the Mineral Creek TH cars remain over night. At the end of the C-2 Hike (Pete Lake TH), participants car camp, or perhaps go back to Meany Lodge. Then on Sunday the group goes to Snoqualmie Pass to start the Hike and pick up the cars left at the Mineral Creek TH the day before. At that point, participants simply drive back to Snoqualmie Pass to pick up the vehicles left earlier in the day.

Check out this MAP of this hike.

Start at 2400 and climb Mineral Creek trail to the PCT at 4960’. Continue climbing a short distance to reach 5350’, and then it’s downhill from here. Total Gain – 2950’

HIKE – Hike 0.3 miles on Trail 1331 to trail junction of Trail 1331 and 1312. Stay on Trail 1331. Hike 4.5 miles to PCT. Prior to getting to the PCT you may pass Park Lakes. Hike North (take a right) on PCT 2.9 miles to junction of Trail 1306 (Spectacle Lake). If the weather is nice, it appears that Spectacle Lake is a short enough detour that it could be enjoyable to stop by the Lake. From the trail junction, continue North 0.5 miles . Continue another 2.4 miles to a possible junction of Trail 1323. You will actually want to stay on the PCT and go another 1.9 miles to the actual junction of Trail 1323. Hike 1.3 miles to Pete Lake. From there you will go 1.8 miles to the trail junction of 1323.1. If Hiking the shorter route go on Trail 1323.1 for 0.8 miles to the cars. Otherwise stay on 1323 for 2.6 miles to the Pete Lake TH.

GETTING THERE – It is estimated that it will take 90 minutes from Snoqualmie Pass to get to the area of the Trial Heads. It is estimated that it will take an additional 60-75 minutes for logistics of the vehicles. However, it should be noted that the Trail Heads are reasonably close to each other.

From Snoqualmie Pass go east to Exit #80, Roslyn / Salmon La Sac. Go through Roslyn. From Roslyn you will go approximately 14 miles to the junction of (paved) FR 46. If you reach the Salmon La Sac Campground, you have gone too far. Take a left on to FR 46. You’ll go approximately 4.7 miles to the junction of FR 46 and FR 4616. At this point, take the minimum number of cars to the Pete Lake TH, the finish of the hike. Follow FR 4616. The first left should be junction of FR 113 which goes to the Pete Lake TH. If you have access to the gate stay on FR 4616 and continue to the TH of 1323.1, which is about 3 plus miles. If you do not have access to the gate, go to the Public Pete Lake TH. Leave Cars and re-trace your steps to the junction of FR 46 and FR 4616. From there you will now be on a dirt trail and you may see a sign that says “Mineral Creek TH 5”. Go 2.3 miles to the junction of FR46 and FR 4617. Continue on FR 46. And go 2.4 miles to Mineral Creek Trail 1331 TH.

You will leave the cars at this TH overnight, if doing in conjunction with Hike C-1 on Sunday.
