This is a loop hike that has open ancient forests with massive Douglas Firs towering overhead and unbelievable views of North Cacscade peaks from a vast meadow. The larches should be turning golden at this time of year. The hike will begin and end at Bridge Creek Trailhead. Distance will be between 12 and 14 miles with 2200 feet elevation. This is a loop hike that has open ancient forests with massive Douglas Firs towering overhead and unbelievable views of North Cacscade peaks from a vast meadow. The larches should be turning golden at this time of year. The hike will begin and end at Bridge Creek Trailhead. Distance will be between 12 and 14 miles with 2200 feet elevation. We will take a side trip up Stilleto Peak trail to get a view of the mountains and larches. PCT mileage will be 4+ miles. This is the first of 2 hikes that will take place in the North Cascades this weekend. We will be car camping at a campground in the North Cascades on Saturday evening. Feel free to sign up for both hikes if space is available. This hike is part of the PCT series. Mountaineers Members that are part of the PCT Series have Leader Permission to sign up for an event after May 14th based on their lottery trip choices. Individuals not part of the PCT Series may sign up for two PCT Series hikes per year and may sign up for this activity no sooner than 10 days proir to the activity date, if space is available and at leader discretion.
