Add to the skills learned in your basic sea kayaking course to move your kayak more efficiently. This on the water skills clinic is taught by an ACA certified coach. It will include forward stroke improvement, boat control via edging, sweep strokes, bow and stern rudders, blending strokes, draws, and some bracing practice as well. Dry suits are required. The class will take place in Gig Harbor rain or shine. Bring a lunch. The clinic will utilize the book "Sea Kayak Handling" by Doug Cooper as a guide (Pesda Press). Book (with on-line video support) is not required for the clinic. No chart is required for this clinic. This clinic is intended for basic class students, but is not recognized as a student paddle for graduation purposes. This is a great clinic offered at no cost.
