Everett Trail Maintenance

Arthur Wright

6:00 AM

07:20 am at end of road OR Lynnwood

This will be a trip to work on trails that need help, selected in cooperation with the Darrington Ranger District. In addition to the 10 Essentials, plan to wear long pants/long sleeves while working. Bring work gloves, eye protection, water (streams intermittant) and lunch. Bike ride to trailhead preferred, can accommodate hikers if 2 or more sign up for the same trip.
I'm looking for 2 to 4 people to help clearing and brushing and/or logging out a trail that has not seen regular maintenance in years. I'm expecting good weather, but bring your 10 essentials and overnight gear. Also eye protection, boots, leather (or cut-resistant) gloves, long pants required while working, have long sleeves available. Bring your favorite industrial hard hat (climbing helmet is acceptable alternate) or we will have hard hat for you to borrow (let leader know in by registration closing date if you need a hardhat). We will be crossing a stream on 4' diameter log or you may choose to brush bash around crossing. Bikes optional on this trip. At least one of us probably won't be on a bike IF we need to carry the 6' saw. We'll carry the tools for about 2 miles on the road.
