What would happen if your party needed to perform a rescue on high-angle rock or technical ice or on a glacier with the very limited resources available in a typical small climbing party? This advanced-level rescue course will give you tips for travelling safe and teach you how to effect high-angle rock, high-angle ice and glacier rescues in parties of two.
Successful completion of at least two intermediate or crag climbs.
Preferenece for enrollment is given to climb leaders. The course fee will be fully refunded to climb leaders who successfully complete this course.

Sun, Oct 13, 8am-5pm -- Aid Climbing on Bolts, Counterbalance Rappelling at the MSPC North Wall
Sat, Oct 19, 8am-5pm -- High Angle Rescue Techniques at the MSPC, North Wall
Sun, Oct 20, 8am-5pm -- Make-up Session or extra practice (if needed/wanted)
Sat, Oct 26, 8am-5pm -- Make-up Session or extra practice (if needed/wanted)
Sun, Oct 27, 8am-5pm –- High Angle Rock Rescue at the MSPC, South Wall
Sun, Nov 10, 9am-4pm -- High Angle Ice Rescue at Big Four Ice Caves
Sun, Nov 17, 9am-4pm -- High Angle Ice Rescue at Big Four Ice Caves (backup for weather)
TBD (May/June) -- Crevasse Rescue Meeting & Practice at the MSPC
TBD (May/June) -- Crevasse Rescue at TBD (probably Baker/Coleman or Rainier/Nisqually)
Please download and complete the application form and email it and a copy of your climbing resume to Jeff and Stephanie in addition to registering and paying online. We will accept ten (10) into this course giving preference to climb leaders.
