This is a unofficial conditioner hike (cannot be used for credit in scrambling or climbing). The Recommended backpack weight is 37 (f) - 45 lb (m) / Tacoma beginning climbing is 25lbs or 20% of body weight. Hike at your own pace and pack weight. My pack weight will be ~50lbs on the way up.

MANDATORY:
Required Traction devices (micro, yaks, etc) Expect Snow and Ice on the trail above ~3k ft.
Discover Pass Required for vehicles

The trip will proceed snow, rain or sun providing the conditions are safe.

Leader will provide Radios for sweeper and lead.

What to expect: Arrival and briefing at TH ~8:30 am. Sweeper, Lead and first aide helpers will be identified. Begin Hike ~9:00 am. Trip leader will be sweeper on the way up (~2-2.5 hrs). Regroup at Snag Flat. Continue to the top (No Haystack ascent). Trip Lead to switch duties at the top (sweeper to lead). Dump water weight, eat lunch and begin descent. I will tromp down to the parking lot (~45min), exchange pack and begin back up trail to meet the group. Everyone descends (~1.25hrs). Postpartum at TH while eating and drinking good stuff in celebration. Depart once everyone is accounted for.
