The course will cover rock climbing using traditional methods of removable protection as well as sport climbing, although a majority of the field work will be spent on traditional rock leading.

Graduates will be eligible to be rope leaders on Basic rock climbs. Experienced Basic rope leaders will have the option to go on to become Basic Climb leaders. The course also fulfills the rock component for graduation from the Everett Mountaineer’s Intermediate Climbing Program.

More information can also be found on the Everett Mountaineers website www.EverettMountaineers.org. You must be a Basic Climbing Course graduate, or have equivalency status and demonstrate basic climbing skills.
