Hope Place is a shelter for women in recovery and their children. All of the women in residence are in recovery treatment for drug abuse, domestic violence, or sexual abuse. The Mountaineers provides an opportunity for the children at Hope Place (ages 4-18) to experience the outdoors, feel good about new accomplishments and have positive adult mentorship - all things that are lacking in their current lives. Several times a year, Hope Place youth and moms will learn how to snowshoe. We will need volunteers to help participants learn how to snowshoe, and have fun in the snow! Please sign up to volunteer!

We will be taking 20 moms and youth from Hope Place snowshoeing somewhere on the I-90 corridor. We will meet at 7:30 am at the Mountaineers and carpool over to Hope Place to meet the participants. We will shoot for getting back to Seattle around 2:30 or 3pm. Please sign up to volunteer! If you have any questions please email Caitlin O'Brien at caitlino@mountaineers.org Thank you!
