The Mountaineers

Hope Place is a shelter for women in recovery and their children. All of the women in residence are in recovery treatment for drug abuse, domestic violence, or sexual abuse. The Mountaineers provides an opportunity for the children at Hope Place (ages 4-18) to experience the outdoors, feel good about new accomplishments and have positive adult mentorship - all things that are lacking in their current lives. Several times a year, Hope Place youth and moms will learn how to snowshoe. We will need volunteers to help participants learn how to snowshoe, and have fun in the snow! Please sign up to volunteer!

We will taking a group of Moms and their children on a snowshoe adventure! Most of the participants have never gone snowshoeing before! We will plan to meet at the Mountaineers around 7:30, and carpool up to our destination (TBD). We will plan to leave around 1 or 2 and be back to the Mountaineers by 4. We will need folks to help get snowshoes on, play in the snow, and have fun! Please sign up to volunteer! Thank you!
