Will have approximately 12 hours of classroom discussion followed by a day on the water to practice what we have learned. Two instructors (Michael Everett, an ACA level 4 Coastal Kayaking Instructor, and Mark Cole, licensed U.S. Coast Guard Master) will lead you through the process of planning a trip, packing a boat, and handling a loaded boat. We'll lay the basis for navigating a kayak within sight of shore (coastal navigation) by introducing the skills of dead reckoning and piloting. This class is open to members only.

Two days of classroom training June 1st and 2nd from 9 AM to about 4 PM, and an on-water paddle Saturday June 15th to practice what you have learned in the lecture. This clinic is a bargain for 3 days of training!
