Experience hiking and a bit of off trail travel on terrain typical to that found in the Cascade and Olympic Mountain Ranges with day packs and mountain boots. Rain shadow conditioner with beautiful views of San Juan Islands, Olympics, and Mount Baker with total of ~12 miles and ~4000' elevation gain (~half mile off trail travel). Will take 7:40am ferry from Anacortes with carpooling strongly encouraged due to high cost of ferry. Ferry arrives at Orcas at ~8:30am.
