The lowest low tide of the year for tide pool photography at Tongue Point in Salt Creek Recreational Area is June 23. NOAA lists Tide charts for Crescent Bay, WA

The group will meet at the kiosk by the entrance to Tongue Point at 8:00 AM. We will procede to the end of Tongue Point and work our way back as the tide comes in. It is recommeded to wear shoe/boot with good gripping soles, bring a black umbrella to shade the sky, polarizing filter, tripod, and cable release.

I'll be camping from Friday 6/21 to Sunday 6/23 in Campsite 56 . For those camping the weekend there will be optional photograghy activites in the area on Friday afternoon and Saturday. I do recommend making campsite reservations early. If the weather cooperates there may be incredible sunsets over the Strait.

Directions to Salt Creek Recreation Area
The Park is located on the Strait of Juan de Fuca 15 miles west of Port Angeles. From Highway 112, after approximately 9 miles turn north onto Camp Hayden Road (near milepost 54). Travel approximately 3 miles, and the Park entrance will be on your right.
