This trip will be to the EAST peak of Snoqualmie Mountain, which is quite a ways east of the 'Standard' west peak.
NOTE: This is a challenging trip, considerably harder than the direct ascent of West Snoqualmie from the Alpental parking lot, (which is Tord's route/destination this same weekend). The pace will be moderate, but you must be in good physical condition for this trip.

MEETING PLACE:
Meet inside the Issaquah Transit Center parking garage on the first floor in the Northeast corner at 6:45 AM. Call me on my cell phone at 425-442-6411 if you are running late and want us to wait for you.

GEAR:
- Ice Axe is always required.
- Snowshoes with aggressive points on the bottom such as MSR.
- Crampons are required for this trip.
- Avalanche beacon, shovel, probe and the skills to use them are highly recommended but not required for participation.
- No parking pass is required

ROUTE:
We will park at the Snoqualmie West Ski Area, hike north up the road 200 yards toward Alpental, then head east up into Commonwealth basin next to the Salahie Ski Area.
From there we will circle counterclockwise around Guye Peak and ascend Cave Ridge.
From there we will ascend the east peak of Snoqualmie Mountain.
For the descent we will keep heading east toward Lundin Peak and drop down into the valley between Lundin/Red and Snoqualmie/Guye.
At the base of Red Mountain we will keep left and circle around Commonwealth basin finally exiting on the main trail.

NOTE: In the event of high avy danger we will shorten the route to just Cave Ridge and the Commonwealth basin loop.
