Will be leaving Washington Park (Anacortes) on Saturday morning, paddling up to the southern tip of Cypress Island, then continue north to Strawberry Island for lunch. Will then cross to Blakely Island, head south through Thatcher Pass and across to Spencer Spit State park for the first night. Second day (Sunday) will head around the northern tip of Blakely Island through Peavine Pass, crossing Rosario Straight to the northern tip of Cpyress Island, and camp at Pelican Beach. On Monday we'll head back down the east side of Cypress Island, and cross back to Washington Park. This paddle will be approximately 26 miles over 3 days, and some crossings will be 2.5 miles and exposed. Excellent paddling skills are required if wind picks up. This is not a beginner paddle. Kayak camping experience is required.
