Kids entering grades 1-7 (ages 6-12/13) join The Mountaineers for week-long adventure full of Mountaineers Activities! Kids will have a chance to try climbing, hiking, kayaking, navigation, photography and basic wilderness skills. Each week has it's own theme - click on each individual week to view the specifics of that week's theme. Each week will include fun games and activities, an earth stewardship component, and outdoor skills development, all led by skilled instructors. Camp is Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Field trip days may run longer - check with the specific week for more information. A sample of weekly schedule for Junior Mountaineers: Monday: Introductions, team building, climbing, swimming Tuesday: Games, leave no trace, map & compass, swimming Wednesday: Hiking field trip to Anderson Lakes, Photography Thursday: Kayaking in Lake Washington, climbing Friday: Scavenger Hunt and Family Day

July 8-12 is Ropes & Rocks Week! We'll be climbing, learning knots and practicing important outdoor skills. Our field trip will take us to Camp Long in West Seattle, where we'll get to climb Schurman Rock and spend some time on the Ropes Course!
