-Hypothermia, first aid equipment, introduction to tides and currents, weather for kayakers.

-Boat loading and tie down, forward paddling, braces, turning strokes.

Sat-Sun, May 11-12, 9am-4pm Wet Paddle Days
Boston Harbor
-There will be two wet paddles, each student must attend ONE of these sessions. Four hour paddle and cold water self and assisted rescue clinic. Plan to get wet in COLD water.
Please note the dates carefully and confirm that your schedule will permit you to attend all the sessions. There will be no opportunity to make up missed sessions.
Sea kayaking, and the course, involve a level of strength, flexibility and endurance possessed by most physically active individuals. If you have any questions or concerns about your ability to participate please contact Will Greenough or Tim Burke.
Graduation Requirements-
1. Swim 50 yards without floatations.
2. Attend all 3 course lectures.
3. Successfully complete the pool, open water and wet paddle sessions.
4. Successfully complete 1 additional club paddle.
5. Complete all requirements by December 31, 2013.
