WEST REVOLUTION
Note that winter scrambles are open only to GRADUATES of the Scramble or Basic Climbing class. Students of either one must wait until next year to participate
West Revolution is the peak you can see from North Bend behind and to the left of Mailbox. What is visually distinctive about it from the freeway view are the switch-back roads that ascend the west face. We will go up some of those, but mostly we will be further south out of view of North Bend.

This is not a very steep or technical trip, however it is very long walk, so plan on a full day and have your headlamps ready for the final part of the hike out.
MEETING PLACE:
Meet inside the Issaquah Transit Center parking garage on the first floor in the Northeast corner at 7:00 AM. Call me on my cell phone at 425-442-6411 if you are running late and want us to wait for you.
GEAR:
- Ice Axe is not required, (there is no steep slope on this trip).
- Snowshoes with aggressive points on the bottom such as MSR.
- Microspikes are not required, but there is a log crossing over Granite Creek 2.5 miles up the trail, which might be slipery.
- Avalanche beacon, shovel and probe. Not required for this trip, but it is recommended that you have them and know how to use it for trips later in the season.
- Discovery Pass is not needed at the Mailbox trailhead (if you park on the north side of the road).
ROUTE:
See this trip posting at Summit Post. It shows exactly what we are going to do:: http://www.summitpost.org/revolution-peak/621981

I would encourage you to review and print this map. If you can't get the 'Mapping Support' print feature to work, Press Ctrl-PrntScr to copy the screen Image to the clipboard, paste it into the Microsoft Paint program, crop it to size, and print it out. Please don't show up without map compass and the skills to use them.
