After Blakely Rock we'll paddle into Blakely Harbor and explore what is left of the Port Blakely Mill. This is a fun paddle, lots of views and sea anemones at the rock. Maybe other sea life too. Tides and currents are not too much of an issue but wind and weather could alter our paddle plan. You can rent boats from Back of Beyond, 181 Winslow Way, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. 206-842-9229. They open at 10. They will have the boats at the launch site. Make your own reservations. We'll launch at 11:00 sharp. Dress for immersion. Wet or Dry suit required. Back of Beyond does not have dry suits so you may need to rent one from Kayak Academy. Bring a lunch. We'll eat at the Park in Blakely Harbor. Plan to return to Eagle Harbor around 3:30-4:00. Optional social gathering for libations and sustenance after the paddle in true Mountaineer tradition at the Harbour Public House.
