Helmets required. Mt Howard is a splendid summit; the view is much better than its name would suggest. I posted this as brisk/fast pace -- we will not actually be going at a breakneck pace, but just ensure you are fit enough to handle the 13mi / 5,500' gain at a steady pace, which will be needed to return by dark.
