The Mountaineers - Activity Registration - Deception Pass State Park
Activity: Deception Pass State Park
Date: 03/06/10
Leader: Joseph E. Becker
Committee: Photography
Registrations Available:  11
Meeting Place: Tacoma Clubhouse
Meeting Time: 7:00 AM
Leader Notes:
On the way to Deception Pass, we will stop at Fir Island to look for snow geese, trumpeter swans, and other birds. Then on to Deception Pass to explore the state park with our lenses. We will likely visit most sections of the park, including Bowman Bay, Pass Lake, North Beach, West Beach, Cranberry Lake, and Hoypus Point. Expect some several short hikes. Weather permitting, we will plan to stay for sunset shots. The sun sets around 6 p.m. Arrangements can be made to meet somewhere north of Tacoma by contacting the leader, Joe Becker
