The Mountaineers Singles committee is one of the largest and most active divisions of our organization. While striving toward the same goals and aspirations as The Mountaineers, the Singles group orients its activities toward active social situations. Singles activities are organized for the enjoyment of all Mountaineers, and are excellent opportunities to meet and interact with others and enjoy the northwest.

What are Singles activities?

They are all kinds of activities for single adults, age 21 and over!

Pick your pace and energy level. From strolls in the city, or weeklong backpacks, to a night at the movies or the theater, we offer a wide range of activities. Join in sports like volleyball or tennis, available at least once a week.

You’ll find us hiking through mountain meadows or wiggling our toes in warm beach sands; setting up tents, cooking and eating together, then watching the stars appear; paddling through white water rapids on a rafting trip; or roller-blading in a city park.

Snow beckons some to put on skis, snowshoes, or hiking boots to enjoy winter’s white face. For others, walks at the beaches or in the lowlands keep the snow out of sight and out of mind.

Games nights challenge all who participate, and our slide shows entertain and stir the wanderlust in us. Dinners and gourmet potlucks allow us to sample different cuisines and socialize in a variety of settings.

Monthly rock and roll dances fill the largest room at the club headquarters elbow to elbow with dancing to music from the 60’s through today.

Weekends at Mountaineer lodges and other locations offer opportunities to hike, ski, relax, and socialize.

Volunteers at Food Lifeline

There are also Volunteer Opportunities where we give back something to our community.
