Carpooling may be an option if your departure times coincide with other participants. Prior to the event, we will provide email addresses for all participants so that you may broadcast your travel plans and try to find someone who is compatible to travel with. Standard Mountaineers carpooling rates will apply.

The recommended route follows the Cascade Loop www.cascadeloop.com; journey to Winthrop via Stevens Pass, Leavenworth, Wenatchee and Chelan, return from Winthrop over Highway 20 via Washington and Rainy Passes. The round trip mileage is approximately 400 miles.

Each of the journeys out and back will involve about 4 hours driving from Puget Sound. Making stops for meals, restrooms and to admire the spectacular views could increase this to about 6 hours out and 6 hours back.
